Why, what and when?

A series of sessions were designed to provide capacity building, assistance and support to focal points from aviation authorities and relevant organisations involved in CORSIA implementation and the development of India's State Action Plan. These sessions were divided and offered to representatives from relevant stakeholders involved in the topic of each session, according to the following criteria:

 

1. CORSIA in India. Monday, 19 – Wednesday 21 June:

This session was opened for registration only for representatives from:

DGCA India and Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA)

Aeroplane operators

Verification Bodies

National Accreditation Body (NABCB)

19 June: CORSIA Basics, understanding the scheme

20 June: CORSIA MRV and CORSIA Eligible Fuels

21 June: CORSIA Verification and future Amendments to CORSIA SARPs

2. CORSIA Offsetting requirements and CORSIA Emission Units. Thursday, 22 June:

This session was opened for registration only for representatives from:

DGCA India and MoCA

Aeroplane Operators

 

Programme:

22 June: In depth training on CORSIA Offsetting requirements. Understanding current and future impacts. CORSIA Eligible Units and Carbon Market.

 

 

3. State Action Plan in India. Role of Aeroplane Operators. Friday, 23 – Monday 26 June:

23 June: Role of Aeroplane Operators in State Action Plan. Mitigation Measure Monitoring. ICAO Statistics Forms.

26 June: State Action Plan in India. Monitoring of Mitigation Measures described in current version of 2021. Airport focused Carbon Reduction projects. (Joint session with Airports and ANSP).

 

4. State Action Plan in India for ANSP and Airports. Monday, 26 – Tuesday, 27 June:

This session was opened for registration only for representatives from:

DGCA India and MoCA

Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP)

Airport representatives

 

Programme:

26 June: State Action Plan in India. Monitoring of Mitigation Measures described in current version of 2021. Airport focused Carbon Reduction projects. (Joint session with Aeroplane Operators).

27 June: Environmental Initiatives and Goals in India. Site visit to Delhi Airport.
